  • Rebecca Tweedie, Chair

    As chair of the Scottish Women’s Development Forum, Rebecca is passionate about equality, diversity, and inclusion. Following the launch of the Women of Colour in Policing subcommittee, Rebecca found a true sense of belonging and value. Her passion lies in enhancing the career experiences and wellbeing for Police Scotland and SPA employees.

  • Kirsten Marshall, Deputy Chair

    Kirsten joined the SWDF in 2010, joining the Executive Committee shortly thereafter and was previously Chair of the Personal & Professional Development Sub Committee. She was elected to one of the Deputy Chair positions in 2024.

    Kirsten is passionate about ensuring our P&PD continuous professional development events are accessible to all members, and that they #DareTo motivate, challenge and inspire others.

  • Vicki Morton, Deputy Chair

    Vicki has spent her career in Forensic Science and has juggled work (at operational and senior level) and family life for many years. As Chief Operating Officer, SPA Forensic Services, she is passionate about the SWDF, the inclusive ethos of the association and the amazing opportunities to educate, enable and empower everyone.

  • Jo Hay, Deputy Chair

    Jo joined the SWDF in 2020 and has become one of the Deputy Chairs in 2024. Finding support, understanding, empowerment and above all friendship, she knew she belonged here. Being a disabled police officer is not easy, you have a lot of perceptions to change but striving for equality and inclusion is what drives Jo and is at the heart of all in the SWDF.

  • Mo Boyle, SWDF Admin Coordinator, Chair Comms & Events

    Mo has more than 34 years in policing and still loves fresh challenges and recently took on the SWDF Admin Coordinator role. Mo is passionate about innovation and inclusion, and using new technology to celebrate, engage and inspire people.   • Michelle Bodle, Treasurer

    Michelle is the Business Support Co-ordinator for Ayrshire and Dumfries & Galloway Divisions and has over 26 years’ experience working for the police.

    Michelle has been actively involved in the SWDF for over 13 years, laterally as the Treasurer for the association and also as a Springboard trainer.

  • Joanne McEwan, Executive Committee

    Joanne began her policing career in 2000 in Fife Constabulary and has performed a range of policing roles including response and community policing, public protection, major investigations, event command and corporate functions. She is passionate about policing, partnership working and service to communities. Joanne was formerly our Deputy Chair and she helped establish and was the first Chair of the Women of Colour in Policing Sub Committee.

  • Amanda Irvine, Ambassador Lead, Executive Committee

    Amanda joined Lothian & Borders Police in 1996 and has worked in a range of different administrative roles and supported a number of large-scale projects. Amanda joined the SWDF in 2005 and with a passion to support colleague well-being became a member of the Health & Wellness Sub-Committee. In 2021 Amanda was appointed Ambassador Lead to help support and promote the amazing work of the SWDF.

  • Lindsey Hammond, Chair Personal & Professional Development subcommittee

    Lindsey joined the police in 2005 and has worked in a variety of departments and divisions, including Response Policing, C3 Division, Custody, Specialist Crime Division, and currently Emergency Planning. Lindsey is active in organising regular CPD inputs, promotion workshops and ‘In Conversation With…’ events. She is keen to instil self-belief in our members and help them gain equitable opportunities to realise their full potential within policing!

  • Jojo Daly, Chair of Women of Colour in Policing subcommittee

    Jojo is a dedicated civilian staff member in policing with over 20 years of experience, specialising in the data field.  She currently serves as the Chair of the Women of Colour Subcommittee, where she is deeply committed to promoting equality, inclusion and supporting members of the community.  In addition to her role in policing, Jojo volunteers at the National Golden Jubilee Hospital, reflecting her passion for giving back and making a positive impact.

  • Kirsten McLatchie, Executive Committee

    Kirsten McLatchie is the Specialisms point of contact having previously chaired the "Inclusion in Specialisms" committee. Kirsten represents the SWDF on the tactical HeForShe working group. Kirsten champions menopause and neurodivergence awareness and inclusion and she would love to hear about any thoughts or experiences you have in these areas.

  • Sophie Marshall, Executive Committee

    Formerly the Deputy Chair of the association, Sophie established the SWDF Ambassadors network across Scotland in 2020. Sophie boasts a diverse career spanning both front-line and strategic roles within the operational and corporate spheres of policing. While her previous experience primarily revolved around urban environments, she is currently based on the Isle of Bute, where she is gaining valuable insights into the distinctive challenges of rural policing.

  • Darren Tattersall, Executive Committee

    Darren has been passionate about the development of people and organisations for nearly 30 years, 15 of those in the outdoors with a broad range of clients, from young offenders to directors, and the last 15 years in organisations, commercial and public. He is honoured to support and contribute to the valuable work of the SWDF.

  • Leanne Blacklaw, Executive Committee

    Leanne joined Tayside Police in 1999 and has undertaken a wide variety of policing roles including response and local policing, sex offender management, child and adult protection, hostage and crisis negotiation, SIO duties and partnership roles divisionally and nationally. Leanne is mum to two teenage girls and is committed to ensuring fairness and equality in the workplace.
