I joined the SWDF in 2020. Finding support, understanding, empowerment and above all friendship, I knew I belonged here. Being a disabled police officer is not easy, you have a lot of perceptions to change but striving for equality and inclusion is what drives me and is at the heart of all in the SWDF.

By being innovative and challenging myself to see what’s possible in a working environment to help meet the needs of others, I work progressing, striving to improve and do better.

I live in the present enjoying my life with my family and my career with intention and gratitude. I’m thankful for the support and kindness of others who believe in me. This enables me to find inner strength to support myself but also helps to pass on the same support and kindness in helping others within Police Scotland to reach their potential.

By working together, we can promote our colleagues to thrive in our organisation.
